Previously, the base version of the Mac Mini was available for $599. Notably, Mac Mini models equipped with the M4 Pro chip begin at 512GB of storage, maintaining their original price point.

The discontinuation of the 256GB model follows a week where it was already unavailable for order, with its removal now confirmed on Apple’s official configuration tool. Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, acknowledged the constraints on the Mac Mini and Mac Studio supply, emphasizing that it may take several months to balance supply and demand.
