San Diego Comic-Con 2026 wrapped up with an electrifying series of announcements that are sure to reshape the entertainment landscape for the upcoming years. Major film and television studios, including Marvel Studios, DC Studios, and Amazon MGM, unveiled thrilling projects that captivated the over 135,000 fans in attendance.
Marvel Studios’ Big Reveals
Marvel Studios returned to Hall H with a star-studded presentation, showcasing their future plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. President Kevin Feige greeted a packed crowd, announcing Ryan Gosling as the new Ghost Rider in a film directed by Shawn Levy, scheduled for release in 2028. This exciting casting marks Gosling's simultaneous ventures into both the Marvel and Star Wars universes, as he is also set to star in the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter.
In another thrilling announcement, David Jonsson was introduced as the new Black Panther for the third installment of the franchise, taking on the mantle of T'Challa II, the son of the late Chadwick Boseman. Director Ryan Coogler confirmed that the film will release in 2028, promising fans a deep dive into Toussaint's journey toward becoming a hero.
