According to court documents obtained from CBS Sports, police were alerted by an employee of a rental company who reported that a truck was missing from the garage while he was loading items from an event. Using GPS tracking, authorities were able to locate and detain Jurkovec soon after the theft.

Jurkovec now faces two felony charges: theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. He reportedly did not post bail following his arrest and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing later this month.

A Rocky College Career

Jurkovec had a promising start in his football career, initially committing to Ohio State before eventually signing with Notre Dame. Over his tenure, he showcased his skills as a four-star prospect and was recognized as the nation's third-best dual-threat passer. However, he only played nine games at Notre Dame before transferring to Boston College in 2020, where he found greater success under coach Jeff Hafley.

In 2020, during his sophomore year at Boston College, Jurkovec threw for 2,558 yards and 17 touchdowns.
