Investment Boosts Pronto's Valuation

The Indian startup Pronto, which specializes in on-demand house-help services, is poised to secure $20 million in new funding led by prominent tech investor Lachy Groom. This investment is set to double Pronto's valuation from $100 million to $200 million in just a few weeks.

Pronto's Rapid Growth and Performance

Founded in 2025, Pronto has seen remarkable growth, processing approximately 500,000 orders last month alone. Currently, the startup manages around 25,000 orders daily, a significant increase from about 18,000 daily bookings in March 2026.

Services Offered by Pronto

Pronto connects households with on-demand domestic help for various services, including cleaning and chores. The platform promises quick turnaround times, leveraging a managed network of approximately 4,500 active workers, predominantly women, as noted by founder Anjali Sardana.

Expansion and Market Concentration

Pronto has rapidly expanded its operations from one city to ten, including major metropolitan areas such as Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. The startup now operates in over 150 micromarkets, though much of its activity remains concentrated in key regions, with the National Capital Region accounting for about half of its total bookings.

Demand for Pronto's services continues to grow, increasing at a rate of about 20% week-over-week, indicating a substantial market need for such house-help solutions.

Previous Funding and Future Prospects

Before this upcoming investment round, Pronto had raised approximately $40 million from various investors, including Epiq Capital, Glade Brook Capital, General Catalyst, and Bain Capital Ventures. This new funding led by Groom not only enhances Pronto’s financial stature but also positions it favorably for further market expansion and scaling of operations.

Despite reaching out, neither Pronto nor Lachy Groom has provided comments regarding this imminent investment.
