Reformation Makes a Splash on the NYSE with $15 IPO
Reformation successfully debuts on the NYSE with a $15 IPO, raising $210 million and targeting sustainable fashion.
Reformation's NYSE Debut
The women's clothing retailer, Reformation, officially entered the public market on Thursday, trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "REF". After pricing its initial public offering (IPO) at $15 per share, the company offered more than 14 million shares to investors, ultimately raising approximately $210.9 million.
Strong Growth Amid IPO Doldrums
Reformation joins a select group of consumer and retail companies going public in 2026, a year marked by a notable decline in IPO activity following the boom of 2021. This public listing comes alongside another debut from the well-known sandwich chain Jersey Mike's, which also launched on the NYSE on the same day.
According to Reformation's S-1 fact sheet, the company has shown remarkable consistency, reporting 20 consecutive quarters of double-digit revenue growth. In 2025, Reformation recorded a net revenue of $507.1 million, alongside a net income of $12.6 million, despite challenges posed by tariffs during the Trump administration.
Commitment to Sustainable Fashion
Reformation operates 70 stores globally, with locations in the U.S., UK, Canada, and France. The company's leadership emphasized its commitment to sustainability, highlighting the rising global demand for environmentally conscious fashion solutions in its IPO filing.
With over 1 million active customers in 2025, Reformation appeals to a diverse clientele, demonstrating particular popularity among individuals aged 25 to 50, which accounts for 70% of its customer base. CEO Hali Borenstein conveyed a message of inclusivity, noting that 20% of new customers last year were under 25, while another 20% were over 50 years old.
Resilience Against Economic Challenges
Borenstein further explained that the average income of their consumers exceeds $100,000 annually, potentially insulating the company from the economic pressures affecting many other retailers. With a strong institutional backing from financial giants such as J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, and RBC Capital Markets, Reformation is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing sector of sustainable fashion.
Reformation’s entrance to the public market signifies not just a financial milestone but also a commitment to a more environmentally sustainable approach in the fashion industry.
