SISCO Holding Welcomes New CEO
Sustained Infrastructure Holding Co. (SISCO Holding) has officially appointed Mauricio Zuazua as its Chief Executive Officer, a decision that takes effect today, April 19. This new appointment follows a recommendation from the company's nomination and remuneration committee, which was endorsed by the board of directors on April 16.
Extensive Leadership Experience
Zuazua is recognized for his extensive global executive leadership experience, having dedicated over 25 years to the infrastructure, transportation, logistics, and industrial sectors across various regions including the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Asia. Most recently, he served as the regional chair for Kearney's operations in the Middle East and Africa, where he contributed to various transformative projects.
Proven Track Record in Logistics and Governance
Throughout his career, Zuazua has demonstrated significant expertise in developing and scaling transportation and logistics platforms. Among his notable achievements are contributions to the establishment of ports, multimodal logistics services, and industrial zones. His leadership extends into corporate governance, where he has led initiatives to transform organizations and enhance board effectiveness.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Tec de Monterrey. His academic background complements his professional experience, preparing him to spearhead SISCO Holding's strategic initiatives moving forward.
Transition Leadership
The transition to Zuazua's leadership comes amidst recent changes in the management structure of SISCO Holding. The board accepted the resignation of Khalid Suleimani, the previous CEO, on July 4, 2025. Following this, Saleh Hefni was appointed as Managing Director from July 1, 2025.
With Zuazua at the helm, SISCO Holding aims to enhance its operational capabilities and expand its influence in the logistics and infrastructure sectors.
