UAE condemns drone attack on commercial ship in Qatari waters

Abu Dhabi:The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the terrorist drone attack on a commercial vessel in Qatari territorial waters.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack targeted a commercial ship in Qatar’s regional waters, resulting in a limited fire onboard without any reported injuries.

The ministry affirmed that this attack constitutes a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability, expressing the UAE’s full solidarity with Qatar and its support for all measures aimed at safeguarding its security.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stressed that the attack represents a violation of international maritime navigation principles and relevant international agreements, highlighting the importance of ensuring the safety of commercial shipping and protecting vital waterways.
